Do I need to book before I arrive in Cebu?

No. Many group joiners book after they've already arrived, once their week takes shape. A departure runs once 6 guests have joined, and we confirm or cancel it 48 hours before, so you can decide day-to-day which departure fits your schedule.

How big is the group? Will it feel crowded?

Every departure is capped at 13 guests, never more. On a full departure, you get 2 guides, not 1, so the ratio stays close even at capacity. That means you can actually hear your guide, ask questions, and get personal attention instead of standing in line with a crowd.

Oslob Whale Shark uses live group pricing. If you book solo or as a duo, you pay the current per-seat rate for just your own seats, based on how many other travelers already have that date. Early bookings pay more per seat since fewer people share the fixed costs, and the rate drops automatically as more travelers join, down to PHP 3,997.91/pax once 6+ guests are confirmed. You still pay less than a private tour, and your live price is always shown before you book.

Can I join the group if I'm travelling solo?

Absolutely — solo travelers and couples are our most common group joiners. You'll share the van and guide with other travelers going to the same destination.

What if a departure doesn't fill up?

A departure needs 6 guests to run. If it has fewer 48 hours before, we contact you straight away. You can choose a refund of the reservation fee or ask us to quote a private alternative.

Are the guides the same as private tours?

Yes — same pool of certified guides, same standard of service, same inclusions. The only difference is a shared vehicle and a fixed schedule.

Can I upgrade to private if I change my mind?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp before your departure date and we'll adjust your booking and pricing.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure. Same policy as our private tours.

Am I booking directly with you, or through a reseller?

Directly with us. We run the tour ourselves, so if your plans change or you have a question, you reach the actual operator on WhatsApp, not a marketplace support ticket. Your departure time, guide, and pickup are confirmed by the people actually running the van, not passed through a third party.
